A former Washington Post executive has blasted Jeff Bezos for 'betraying' the newspaper's principles by backing Donald Trump out of 'fear'. Marty Baron, 70, who edited the broadsheet from 2013 until 2021, said he was 'sad' and 'disgusted' to see what the billionaire has done to the opinion section. Bezos, 61, said on Wednesday he would focus the section on supporting free markets and personal liberties, leaving any opposing views 'left to be published by others'.
