John Higgins is into the Welsh Open semi-final after a powerful 5-2 win over Mark Allen and is now just two wins away from extending his personal document variety of titles within the occasion.

'I almost pulled out on Saturday with a nasty shoulder, so to get to the quarters, I'll take the positives. It wasn't an enormous excuse right now, I just didn't play nicely enough.'
