Lamecha Girma was reportedly knocked unconscious after the Ethiopian athlete suffered a horrifying fall during the final 200m of the men's steeplechase at the Paris Olympics on Wednesday evening. Concerns were raised over his health after the 23-year-old was seen lying prone on his stomach after hitting his head against the running track before subsequently being taken away on a stretcher. Reports from French outlet L'Equipe stated that he had been taken to hospital for examinations and had also regained consciousness.
