Jimmy Kimmel explained why he thinks Donald Trump will leave office “sooner than we think.”
Kimmel described Tuesday’s midterm election results as a “bloodbath” for Republicans.
“Maybe he’s planning to leave sooner than we think?” Kimmel proposed.
Jimmy Kimmel has shared a shocking prediction about longtime foe Donald Trump amid the president’s weathering of the “bloodbath” midterm election results.
The comedian lambasted Trump’s latest political proposal on Thursday night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live following the president announcing he would “be signing a document which will make” his Oval Office décor “into a landmark for the ages” that “won’t be able to be taken down, destroyed, touched, or anything else” without the approval of Congress after he leaves his second term in the White House.
Kimmel classified the proposal as Trump turning “the Oval Office into a national monument so that no future president can remove any of his crap,” before quipping, “His historic Diet Coke button will be preserved for many generations to come.”

Later, Kimmel theorized that “maybe he’s planning to leave sooner than we think,” and played a clip of Trump telling reporters from his desk at the White House: “It was very important that nobody be able to come and take it down” and that “we’re going to leave this as it is, it’s a great landmark.”
Kimmel further lampooned Trump’s own words by calling the president’s Oval Office design “a landmark and a skid mark” in his estimation.
“We are gonna yank that crap down faster than Melania moved back to New York,” Kimmel finished.
Trump and the Republicans endured a rough loss on Tuesday, with Americans overwhelmingly voting in support of Democratic candidates at the polls.
Many have labeled the results a “blue tsunami,” with Democrats flipping numerous House and Senate seats to regain control of both entities.
When asked by Fox News how he’ll handle working with Democrats on policy over his final two years in office, Trump said that “it’s been done before, as you know, numerous times,” but still promised to use “the power of veto” to reject anything he doesn’t like.
“It’s one of the stronger powers that a president has. They’ll send over things that are insane, and I’ll veto them,” Trump said. “After a couple of months of vetoes, they’ll call, and they’ll say, ‘How do we get this stuff done?’ And we’ll work together.”

The View cohost and former Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin summarized the results, however, as “a total and complete repudiation of Donald Trump’s presidency and his policies,” and projected that “this is the beginning of the end of the MAGA movement” at large.
