In February 2024, Variety introduced that the 2 actresses can be starring within the martial arts drama film, which can comply with the journey of two fighters who discover themselves competing towards one another within the Octagon. One young lady (Mortez) discovers her ardour for UFC, while the opposite lady (Nyong'o) is a former UFC champion preventing to reclaim her title. Strawweight, directed by James M. The film might be produced by Lars Knudsen, David Lowery, Toby Halbrooks and Patrick Newall. Additionally, UFC celebrity Rose Namajunas will serve as a struggle marketing consultant and government producer.
