A four-year-old boy with cerebral palsy died after his head turned lodged in an Olaf bed the primary night time he slept in it.

Ethan Wade was found by his dad the subsequent morning in Chatham in July 2021 after getting ready faculty lunch packing containers downstairs.

He was discovered face down, unresponsive and 'floppy', and it's believed he suffered respiratory arrest.

His mum, Jessica Gardiner, stated: 'Ethan was the sunshine and soul of our lives. He was such a happy-go-lucky boy, all the time had a smile on his face that made you smile.

'He was such a larger-than-life character. Ethan is ceaselessly beloved, cherished and adored by myself, his dad, brothers, sisters and all who knew him.'

The inquest heard his youthful siblings might have played with the buttons of the remote which controlled the specifically adapted mattress.

Ethan was non-verbal and suffered reflux, international improvement delay in addition to mobility issues.

Both mother and father stated Ethan's mattress was left at its lowest degree as really helpful the night time before his demise.

The inquest also heard whether or not a toddler lock safety key was hooked up to the remote when put in.
