Sidonie's father had earned the nickname 'Mr Titanic' from his multiple expeditions right down to the wreck.

She shared that she was 'used' to her father's expeditions, and it was 'regular' for her.

'I never questioned if the submersible was an excellent one or not. He informed me that the Titan was a new type of sub, but he didn't tell me he was fearful about it,' she stated.

The 40-year-old only started to panic when her stepmother despatched her a message saying the submersible hadn't returned to the floor in time.

She held out hope for four days, until the US Coastguard introduced that the vessel had been lost.

'We had 4 days to get prepared for it, but anyway, it's arduous to simply accept,' Sidonie stated.
