A DELIVEROO driver bit off a customer's whole thumb "like a chainsaw" in a row over pizza.

Stephen, 36, had ordered a pizza on the delivery app, but Rocha arrived down the street from his house.
When Stephen went to get his food, he forgot his telephone – sparking an argument about his supply code number.
He stated the row spun uncontrolled and Rocha launched an attack on him.
The plumber raised his hand to Rocha's helmet – however she bit into his thumb.
Stephen informed the BBC: "All I keep in mind, I was shaking her helmet making an attempt to get her off."
Rocha bit clean by way of Stephen's thumb before ultimately letting go.
The Hampshire man stated he then lifted up his arm and "sprayed her with blood".
Stephen stated: "The drive with which she should have been biting, she'd clean taken it off.
"It was as if it had gone via a chainsaw."
Rocha has pleaded responsible to grievous bodily harm following the attack in December 2022.
The 35-year-old will probably be sentenced at Winchester Crown Court on Might 3.
Plumber Stephen has been unable to work since his thumb was severed above the knuckle – saying he is "financially ruined".
But he stated he has not been compensated by Deliveroo, because the agency has cannot be held legally accountable.
Part of Stephen's huge toe was grafted onto the stump of his missing thumb following months of reconstructive surgery.
Deliveroo stated: "This was an terrible incident. We ended the account of the rider concerned instantly."
A spokesperson added: "We've absolutely cooperated with the police on the investigation.
"Deliveroo riders are self employed, which has been confirmed by UK courts on multiple occasions.
"Substitution is and all the time has been a standard function of self-employment – it isn't specific to Deliveroo, nor our sector."
