Erik ten Hag has dismissed considerations over Manchester United's fragile back-line after they conceded 23 photographs towards Everton on Saturday and insists his aspect's fashion of play is sustainable.

The Pink Devils closed the hole to fifth-placed Tottenham to 3 points after a 2-0 victory over the Toffees at Previous Trafford, with both objectives coming from the penalty spot – one converted by Bruno Fernandes, the other by Marcus Rashford – after fouls on Alejandro Garnacho.

But, definitely within the first half, United had little management of the contest and gave up 23 photographs whereas only having 15 themselves.

Incredibly, they have now faced 134 photographs of their final six matches, with membership legends Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand both of the assumption that United's porous back-line and wide-open midfield cannot provide a consistent or reliable platform to build a late top-four charge.

Ten Hag, although, insists he isn't apprehensive concerning the shot statistics from Saturday's win, as an alternative citing his group's superior Expected Objectives (xG) figure, and has steered his aspect's set-up is a deliberate tactic to surrender low-quality possibilities.

Requested if it is sustainable for opponents to keep racking up over 20 photographs in matches, Ten Hag replied: 'Oh yeah, we do it already, I might say, for a long time and lots of extra video games.

'In case you see, their xG shouldn't be that prime and ours was much larger.

'However it was their gameplan, obviously, and we've got players who feel snug to defend low.

'But it's a must to be very disciplined and we coped with it very properly.

'It was a workforce efficiency, however especially our again four with the keeper, Andre [Onana], within the again, and Casemiro within the entrance, they've accomplished very nicely.'

United racked up 2.56xG compared to 1.48xG for Everton, nevertheless the house aspect's two penalties accounted for 1.56xG (0.78 apiece) which means the Toffees truly had a better Expected Objectives tally from open play.

'You see the probabilities, and, yeah, that they had some.
