STUNNING historic carvings of celestial our bodies and animals have been found on cliffs in Brazil.

Through the three expeditions, researchers from Brazil's National Institute of Historic and Inventive Heritage found 16 sites.
"This proximity suggests a potential connection between the websites and clarifies settlement patterns of the ancient communities that inhabited the area," lead archaeologist Rômulo Macêdo informed Live Science.
The work subsequently helped researchers understand the format of the traditional group.
Pink work have been also discovered at the website but are stated to be older than the carvings.

It's thought the precolonial Indigenous peoples of Jalapão created the carvings.
