BRITNEY Spears might have anticipated finding her happily ever after when her conservatorship ended, and she tasted freedom for the first time in 13 years.
But a psychologist has urged the pop icon to realize that forming "unstable connections" with the likes of handyman Paul Soliz will doom her love life forever.
Britney, 42, shared an Instagram post on Sunday that read, "Don't ever lose sleep over people who ruin your dreams."
Britney was photographed a day before clutching a pillow and looking disheveled outside the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.
Paramedics arrived at the hotel following reports of an altercation between Britney and Paul Soliz.
She showed off her swollen foot on Instagram.
Former felon Paul had known Britney since 2022, when her estate employed him to work in her home.
The 37-year-old father of nine's duties included "cleaning toilets, mopping floors, and picking up trash," according to Page Six.
Psychologist Dr. Becky Spelman said Paul was a questionable choice of partner for the star.
Their liaison came to light after Britney's most recent ex-husband, Sam Asghari, left her and filed for divorce.
RED FLAG ALERT
"Britney makes fast-forming, unstable connections with the wrong men," Spelman told The U.S. Sun.
"She also chooses men who are already within her close circle.
"Some of them may have been useful to her and provided companionship for Britney during turbulent periods.
"With Paul, it would have been when Britney felt vulnerable after splitting from Sam Asghari.

"Someone must help Britney recognize the men who might use her for fame and wealth."
Paul and Britney were spotted in her white Mercedez on Tuesday, according to TMZ.
Spelman urged the former child star to find tools to improve her self-esteem.
"Britney needs friends who can be like the parents or family she has never had to help her," she said.
"She needs to find a good circle of friends who do not control her.
"Britney must also learn to identify red flags early in a relationship.
"She needs to select her partners carefully and those who can help create a supportive environment.
"Something needs to be done to break this cycle of unsuitable partners."
PRIVACY WITH PAUL
Paul was reportedly fired by Britney's estate in 2023 after his criminal record came to light.
Ultimately, their relationship also turned romantic.
"My husband fell in Britney Spears' p***y," Paul's wife told Daily Mail.
"He was married, and now he denies his children. He neglects his children for her," she said.

Spelman claimed the pair became intimate in the privacy of Britney's home.
"Britney would have been attracted to Paul because of their physical closeness when he was working in her home," she said.
"While he worked as a handyman, they would have interacted and found a private environment where they could be intimate.
"This connection with Paul might have been based on a mutual understanding.

"Her relationship with Paul probably will not progress much further because of his past.
"Paul is wrong for Britney because of his criminal background and how they met when he worked in her home.
"There needs to be a solid foundation for a healthy relationship, which needs to be improved here.
"On the positive side, Britney likes the companionship with him after Sam broke up with her.
"The only benefit would be that she would find some happiness in the companionship he gives her."
SUCCUMBED TO SAM
Britney met Sam Asghari, 30, in 2016 when he appeared in her music video for the track Slumber Party.
"She motivates me more than anyone. I'm always going to support her," the personal trainer told Men's Health in 2018.

"She is another blessing that happened to me," he added.
Britney and Sam married in 2022 at her luxurious Californian mansion.
Sam started securing movie parts and became a fixture on the Hollywood social circuit.

By August 2023, he had filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple separated that July.
Spelman said Britney appeared to find it hard to stay in long-term relationships.
"Sam and Britney began promisingly," she said.
"But eventually, the whole thing succumbed to allegations of infidelity."
Interestingly, Justin Timberlake, Britney's first long-term partner, wrote about her reported infidelity in his hit Cry Me a River.
She has since accused him of cheating in her book, The Woman in Me.

Justin and Britney were known as the '90s celebrity power couple but split in 2002 after four years together.
"Britney's early fame and traumatic breakup with Justin shaped her personal life significantly," said Spelman, Private Therapy Clinic Founder.
"Now Britney seems to face issues maintaining long-term relationships.
"But, there were likely other conflicts between Sam and Britney that she and Justin did not endure."
QUICK WITH KEVIN
Britney dated and married dancer Kevin Federline in 2004. The couple has two sons together.
Their marriage lasted three years, with Britney's public breakdown sending her to rehab in 2007.
She was placed under the conservatorship in 2008.
During a 2002 interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Kevin claimed he was shocked when Britney filed for divorce.
The couple split custody of Jayden James, 16, and Sean Preston, 17.

Spelman said Britney moved too quickly into the relationship.
"Britney met someone in her close circle, and they got married really quickly," she said.
"Just like her other relationships, this one with Kevin endured for a while but under intense scrutiny and personal challenges."
GOOEY FOR GHALIB
Britney's relationship with British paparazzo Adnan Ghalib lasted three months.
It began after she shaved her head during her 2007 meltdown.
Britney wrote about Adnan without naming him in her memoir, The Woman In Me.
"I was completely infatuated with him," she said.
"All I could see at the time was that he was chivalrous and helped me out when the others got too aggressive."

Spelman suggested this relationship was complex. She said once again, Britney was vulnerable.
"Brtiney's brief affair with Adnan was another complex situation," she said.
"Like with Paul Soliz, he was married.
"Britney was also particularly vulnerable when they went public together.
"This relationship would never have lasted either."
Dr Becky Spelman said that Britney tended to date men who were already in her social or professional circle[/caption]
Spelman suggested one issue was how close her partners were to her when they got involved.
Previously, Britney dated two of her managers, Sam Lufti and Jason Trawick.
"Britney's relationships continue to mirror her immediate social and professional circles," she said.
"With Paul, just like the others, he does not provide the stability or even trustworthiness that would benefit her.
"Here she is with another former associate or employee.
"Britney may continue to face all these challenges in forming and maintaining healthy relationships.
"Her relationship path looks uncertain, so she needs to make significant changes and perhaps seek help."
