FORMER Arsenal star Jack Jebb, who was once dubbed the 'new Jack Wilshere, has signed for seventh-tier side Folkestone.

It is the 28-year-old's tenth club of his career since it all began at Arsenal in 2012.

Jebb began his journey with Arsenal's U18s and signed his first professional contract in September 2012.

The midfielder never played for the senior North London team.

Instead, he spent two seasons on loan at Stevenage and later signed for them on a one-year deal and only made five appearances.

The London-born ace was compared to Arsenal legend Wilshere who made 197 appearances for the Gunners.

But he has gone on to drift down the leagues without ever realising his potential.

Folkestone announced the signing on their X account in a minute-long video of Jebb wearing their amber and black strip.

Jebb's career path led him through a series of clubs including Newport, Sutton, Wellington United, Wealdstone, and Dartford.

In 2022, Jebb moved to Dorking Wanderers in the National League.

But was loaned out to Havant & Waterlooville in the National League South the following year.

Only days ago Dorking confirmed Jebb's departure will come in June when his contract expires.

But Folkestone's social media announcement preempted the news.

Folkestone finished this season 16th in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
