FORMER Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers star Darius Morris has died.
Morris died at the age of 33, according to NBA reporter Shams Charania.
Morris spent four years in the NBA from 2011 to 2015, having stints with the Lakers, 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, LA Clippers, and Memphis Grizzlies.
His cause of death has not yet been confirmed.
Morris played college basketball at the University of Michigan from 2009-2011 and is one of five players in school history to have over 200 assists in a season.
He went on to be drafted by the Lakers with the 41st pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Morris spent most of his time as a bench player in the NBA, averaging 3.3 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

His best season was the 2012-13 campaign with the Lakers, where he averaged 4.0 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game.
Morris also spent time in the NBA D-League, which is now known as the G-League, and played overseas.
He joined the Southern Tigers in China and last played professionally with BCM Gravelines-Dinkerque of the French LNB Pro A.
Morris averaged 16.5 points and 10.1 points in his two overseas seasons.

NBA fans couldn't believe the news and shared their condolences on social media.
"Rest in peace, gone way too soon," one fan said.
"Ohh nooo I remember when we drafted him….RIP man this is so sad," another fan said.
"RIP. Started playoff games for the Lakers. Sad news," a third fan said.
"That's tragic man… rest in peace," a fourth fan said.
