Mosely, who lives in Stone Mountain, Georgia, around 20 miles east of Atlanta, said the property was previously owned by his mother.

His home was heavily damaged following a fire in 2023.

Mosely has since lived in his driveway but a neighbor has complained about the structure, according to ABC affiliate WSB-TV.

Dominic DeDuoni said he believed the property was dangerous and could affect locals.

"We have a lot of kids who play in this area, the house itself is a danger to kids, the back yard is completely open, there's a pool back there filled with black water," DeDuoni said.

DeDuoni also claimed that Mosely had lived in his driveway for at least nine months.

A complaint was reportedly sent to the county's Code Compliance Administration by a local resident.

The neighbor reported structural issues with Mosely's home.

This county sent an inspector to the property and noted that they found someone sleeping in a vehicle on the grounds.

The report also said rats, pets, human waste, and trash had been found, among other worrying finds.

Finally, the inspector also deemed the structure to have been unsound.

Officials said they sent several warnings about the property to Mosely's sister.

DeKalb County's Nuisance Abatement Team sent a case to the county's legal department in October 2023.

This was later picked up by a judge at the In-Rem Nuisance Abatement Court, where an order to demolish the property was signed and granted in February 2024.

Officers from the DeKalb County Police Department enforced the court order to remove him from the property on March 11.

Mosely told WSB-TV that he was upset by the decision and did not want to move as it was his family's property.

DeKalb County Community Development said it had offered to help the homeowner multiple times but explained that he had declined.

The U.S. Sun has previously reported on other homeowners who have faced the possibility of having their homes demolished.

A tiny homeowner explained why she could be forced to destroy her own home following an eviction notice

The U.S. Sun has reached out to DeKalb County for comment.
