Former Australian Idol favourite Courtney Murphy has taken the brave step to return to performing and recording after being diagnosed with late-stage bowl cancer. Courtney, 45, who rose to fame on the singing competition in 2004, revealed he was battling the cruel disease in April. After undergoing surgery and chemotherapy Courtney the musician delighted his fans earlier this month with a show in Freemantle, WA. And now it appears Courtney is set to release new music with his band The Murphy Brothers.
