Sunday night delivered another dose of disappointment for Scotland fans as Steve Clarke's side exited Euro 2024 following a 1-0 defeat by Hungary. Around 50,000 Scots travelled to Stuttgart for the game, while more than one million were watching back home on television. The game was also broadcast live on BBC Radio 5 Live, who had Lyndon Dykes and Pat Nevin in the commentary box. Nevin represented Scotland 28 times between 1986 and 1996, while Australia-born Dykes currently has 36 caps and would have been in Clarke's squad this summer were it not for an ankle injury.
