Prestigious TRIC Awards overlook female nominees at 2024 ceremony with men dominating by 79 percent

Men have dominated this year's Television and Radio Industries Club Awards with just six of the 28 nominees for the major categories women. Last year, women made up 35 percent of the talent represented in categories such as Radio Personality, Soap Actor, TV personality and Radio Show. But the number of women recognised in the nominations for this year's TRIC Awards, which honours television and radio's biggest names, has fallen to 21 percent.
