Controversial comedian Bill Maher claimed that the man who tried to assassinate former president Donald Trump caused 'so much damage to the left' just two hours after the shooting took place. Trump, 78, nearly lost his life on Saturday, after 20-year-old would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks fired at him with an 'AR-style' weapon as he spoke at a campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania, at around 6pm. While the news of the attempted killing flew around the world within minutes, the killer's identity, motive and means were still being investigated by authorities.
