England dramatically reached the semi-finals of Euro 2024 on Saturday after they edged out Switzerland 5-3 on penalties. Having gone 1-0 behind following Breel Embolo's opener, Bukayo Saka dragged England back into the game with a stunning individual effort in the 80th minute, before the Three Lions slotted home all of their spot kicks to set up a showdown with the Netherlands on Wednesday. The victory means England have reached at least the semi-finals in three of the past four major tournaments, while it also came following a narrow and similarly dramatic win over Slovakia in the last-16.
