Horrifying footage captured the moment a domestic abuse suspect pulled a gun on police officers inside his home, killing one before he was brought down in a hail of bullets. Pope County Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Owen was killed on his 44th birthday after responding to the Cyrus, Minnesota, home of Bryan Nygard, 34. Deputy Brody Merrill and Police Officer Alex Olsen were also injured in the April, 2023, shooting. The bloodbath began after the officers entered Nygard's home, spoke to him and a woman, and informed the suspect that he was going to be arrested for domestic assault.
