Riley Gaines has accused Olympic chiefs of 'glorifying male violence against women' amid the controversy surrounding Algerian boxer Imane Khelif's gender. Khelif, who was thrown out of last year's world championships after failing gender eligibility tests, battered female Italian rival Angela Carini in her first Olympics outing on Thursday after being cleared to compete at the Paris Games. Despite her failed tests in 2023, the 25-year-old was allowed to enter the women's welterweight category in the French capital this summer - a decision which has sparked controversy across the world.
