A fan favourite Netflix series which was hailed as a 'masterpiece that changed history' has been axed despite rave reviews. Adult sci-fi cartoon Scavengers Reign premiered on HBO Max in October 2023 before heading to Netflix in May and received an incredible 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the streaming service has now confirmed the series has been cancelled after just one season. Scavengers Reign follows the survivors of the damaged interstellar cargo ship Demeter 227 who are stranded on Vesta, an alien planet bustling with flora and fauna but filled with dangers.
