The Bodyguard is the latest beloved movie to get the modern-day remake treatment. Plans for a new version of the 1992 Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner film have reportedly been in the works since 2011. The movie starred Costner as Frank Farmer, the titular bodyguard hired to protect Rachel Marron, an actress and musician played by Houston. Over the course of the film, Frank and Rachel fall in love, but they eventually realize that their romance could never work.
