'Dilbert' creator Scott Adams dies
Scott Adams, whose comic "Dilbert" and its satirical take on corporate lifeearned him wide acclaimbefore his comments on race got his strip banned, has died. He was 68 and had revealed in May 2025 that he had metastatic prostate cancer anddid not have long to live. "Dilbert" was featured in 2,000 newspapers in 65 countries before Adams commented on his YouTube channel in 2023 that Black people were part of a "hate group" that White people should "get away" from; he said his comments were meant to be hyperbole."I had an amazing life,"Adams wrote in a letter read by his former wife on Jan. 13. "I gave it everything I had."
Mattel unveils an autistic Barbie
Mattel's Barbie Fashionistas has welcomed a new member:the autistic Barbie. The doll, developed over 18 months with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, has features such as flexible elbows and hands for stimming, or the repetitive body movements some people with autism display. Its accessories includepink noise-canceling headphones, which some people with autism wear; a pink finger clip fidget spinner; and a tablet with Augmentative and Alternative Communication apps. "It is so important for young autistic people to see authentic, joyful representations of themselves," the network's Colin Killick said. The Barbie is available now.

"One Battle After Another" is starting to look like the film to beat on the road to the Oscars. Mike Tomlin ends 19-year run with Steelers
It may not have been fully unexpected, but it was still stunning to hear:Mike Tomlin will no longer be thecoach of the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team announced a day after a 30-6 wild-card loss to the Houston Texans that Tomlin, 53, had decided to step aside. In 19 years, he never had a losing season, and his 201-126-2 career record places him among the NFL's winningest coaches."It has been an absolute honor to lead this team,"Tomlin said in a statement.
