Now that the leaves are changing color and the temperature is dropping, there's no better time to snuggle up on the couch with a new TV show. But without heavy-hitters like The Pitt, Severance, and The Studio airing for the rest of the year, where shall we turn our attention to this season? The answer lies in the list below, which promises the return of some fan-favorites (like The Morning Show, Nobody Wants This, and Landman); the debuts of all-new series (like Rachel Sennott's I Love LA and The Beast in Me starring Claire Danes); and a even a few grand finales (it's time to say goodbye to Stranger Things and Bel-Air). Here are the shows to keep an eye on this fall, listed in order of their premiere date.
The Paper
"You can expect any spinoff of The Office to garner a ton of interest and immediate fans. The Paper is set at the headquarters of a Toledo newspaper that's the focus of a documentary. The publication is well regarded but, like much of media, is struggling against dwindling interest. Domhnall Gleeson plays the new editor-in-chief, who decides the best way to cut costs is to staff the editorial department with inexperienced volunteers. Task
"Four years after Mare of Easttown aired, creator Brad Ingelsby is back with Task. Like Mare, it takes place in Pennsylvania and—with frequent cultural references—makes sure you know it. But it's also similarly gripping. Tom (Mark Ruffalo) is running a task force focused on a series of dangerous robberies. The robberies, we learn, are being done by Robbie (Tom Pelphrey), a sympathetic dad, making what could have been a clichéd cops-and-robbers story much more interesting."—AG

Only Murders in the Building Season 5
"Our favorite trio returned for a fifth season, solving another case right at home—a much-loved doorman has been killed at the Arconia.
