A BIKER was killed and another is fighting for life after a horror crash between two motorcycles and a car.

The three vehicles were involved in the tragic collision on the A85 near Glenogle, Perthshire, on Sunday evening.

A Triumph Tiger, Suzuki GSXR and a Toyota Yaris were all involved in the horror smash around 5.30pm.

Mercy crews were scrambled to the scene of the crash.

Tragically, the 50-year-old man riding the Suzuki motorbike was pronounced dead at the scene.

An air ambulance was deployed to the scene, which airlifted the Triumph rider, 54, to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Medics say he is fighting for his life in a critical condition.

The man driving the Toyota and the woman passenger did not need any medical treatment.

Accident investigators closed down the road and began probing the tragedy.

The road was closed down for over 11 hours while their investigation was carried out.

Police Scotland's traffic unit has urged anyone with information to come forward.

Any drivers who were in the area or who may have dashcam footage have also been asked to call the police.

Road Policing Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this very difficult time.

"As our enquiries continue, I'd appeal to anyone with information to come forward.

"I'd be particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the area around the time."
