A WALMART customer ran into a few issues during an unsatisfying shopping trip that ended with a long wait for self-checkout.

Shoppers have been extremely vocal about their disappointment with Walmart's checkout process.

A customer recently ranted about dealing with a long line and "no human cashiers" while shopping at the store.

"Checking out at Walmart is such a f**king hassle now!" they wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"No human cashiers and the self-checkout line is always long as f**k!

"Who thought THIS was a good idea?!"

Walmart replied to the shopper to apologize and asked for more information to help rectify the situation, but it's unclear if the customer sent a message.

Several customers have had similar complaints about long waits at the store.

"Walmart, the self-checkout got worse with the addition of Sparks drivers only checkout, leaving paying customers standing in line for over 20 mins," wrote another customer on X.

Recently, Walmart allocated some self-checkout lanes for Spark delivery drivers and Walmart+ subscribers.

"Eight checkouts, four down, and two for Sparks. Two left for the rest of the 20 people standing in line.

"It's not right leaving paying customers waiting when the two Spark cash registers are going unused."

A third customer shared a photo of several roped-off self-checkout machines with a line that snaked through the store.

"Only two self-checkout available at 7:45. The line is to the freezer case!" they captioned the photo.

GOING THROUGH CHANGES

Self-checkout registers have always faced scrutiny by shoppers, leaving some stores to remove them altogether.

The U.S. Sun previously reported that three locations in New Mexico removed their kiosks last year, and a single store in the St. Louis area removed them last month.

But that choice hasn't been popular with shoppers either.

"If you're going to remove self-checkout, for throngs of lines of shoppers; how about giving the lines a place to queue, that's not in the way of other shoppers?" a shopper wrote on X,

Another simply said: "No more self-checkout at my Walmart."

"They go through your cart and scan my stuff."

"Back to Target I go lol," a third person commented.

Shoppers have begged Walmart to use a new receipt checker after a rollout at Sam's Club.

And Walmart introduced a new brand to compete with Amazon.
