Britain's fastest man Zharnel Hughes will miss this weekend's Olympic trials through injury – but is expected to be awarded a discretionary place for Paris. The world 100 metres bronze medallist withdrew from the European Championships earlier this month after pulling up at the end of a race in Jamaica on June 1 appearing to hold his hamstring. Hughes has not recovered in time to run at the UK Championships in Manchester, which act as trials for Paris.
