The Green Lantern series based on characters from DC Comics has moved from Max to HBO while receiving an official series order. The redeveloped adaptation titled Lanterns will follow Green Lantern legend Hal Jordan and new recruit John Stewart 'two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland,' Warner Bros. Discovery said on Tuesday in a press release. Hal Jordan made his cinematic debut in the 2011 film Green Lantern and was played by Ryan Reynolds, 47.
