Shirley Ballas has defended fellow Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice, calling him a 'perfect gentleman'. For weeks executives have been investigating claims that professional dancer Giovanni, who recently lost his spot on the show, behaved 'abrasively' to his celebrity partner, Amanda Abbington. And now, head judge Shirley, 63, has hailed Giovanni, 33, saying they socialise outside of work and she has only had positive experiences with him. Speaking at Q&A for her new crime novel, according to The Sun, she said: 'He is coming to my party on Sunday.
